Counselling and psychotherapy services provide at Life 360 Counselling are HST exempt.

Canadian Revenue Agency identifies Social Workers are as Healthcare Professionals. As such, healthcare services provided by a registered social worker, including psychotherapy, are HST exempt.





payment

Life 360 Counselling seeks to offer fees that are affordable and are set in accordance with the guidelines of the Ontario Association of Social Workers.

Payment is due at the time of service. Cash, INTERAC Flash (TAP), Visa, Master Card, American Express, Discover Card, cheque, PayPal, Apple Pay, Android Pay and E-transfer are all accepted. A 3.5% processing fee is appended to credit card transactions.

A receipt with an Ontario College of Social Workers Registration number will be provided and may be used for Group Health benefits or income tax purposes.

Counselling services are not covered by OHIP.



cancellation

Your time is valuable and your scheduled session is reserved specifically for you.

If you cannot attend your session for whatever reason, please be sure to contact us via text, email or phone call as soon as possible.

Because it is difficult to fill cancelled or missed sessions,
session fees will be billed for cancellations 24 hours or less before scheduled appointment times.

However, session fees will not be billed for cancellations which are rescheduled in the same week as the cancellation.




income tax

The Canada Revenue Agency has approved Social Workers for the medical expense tax credit. As such, counselling services provided by a Registered Social Worker (RSW) may be claimed as a medical expense tax deduction when you file your income tax return.





session timings

Sessions are booked in 60 minute intervals. The intent is that the session will run 50 - 60 min. Occasionally they may run 5 or 10 mins over.

Depending on availability, additional charges will apply for sessions that run over at the request of the client.






blue cross

Life 360 Counselling is a registered Blue Cross provider and provides service to Blue Cross members, the Canadian Armed Forces, RCMP and Veterans Affairs Canada.

Please note that pre-approval for sessions may be required by your organization or by Blue Cross.

Life 360 Counselling is authorized to bill Blue Cross directly for your counselling services.






group health benefits

You may be eligible to use your Group Health Benefits towards your counselling or psychotherapy fees. Some benefit plans include counselling provided by a registered social worker under Paramedical Coverage.

Please refer to your workplace’s benefit plan to see what coverage you have.

Additionally, counselling services may be covered under your workplace's employee assistance program (EAP).

If you plan to use Group Health Benefits, please ensure that counselling or psychotherapy provided by a
Registered Social Worker (BSc, HBSW, MDiv) or a Psychotherapist (registered with the College of Social Workers) is covered by your benefits prior to booking an appointment.

Please Note: If you plan to use healthcare benefits, please ensure you have adequate coverage.

We do not bill insurance plans, however, we do provide receipts for you to submit for reimbursement.
